It has been reported that Frank Gore signed his 1-year deal with the New York Jets because of his respect for Adam Gase. Yeah, his “respect.” I know even the worst people on this earth get respect from people. Hell, look at the guy in China who ate that bat and started a global pandemic. I’m sure he even gets a little street cred. But to say you respect Adam Gase is wild.

As a Head Coach the man is 30-34 in the regular season, and 0-1 in the postseason. His offense from 2016-2019 were ranked 24, 25, 31, and 32 in that order. In those same years his rushing offense in yards was ranked 9, 29, 18, and 31. Also in those same years his passing offense in yards was ranked 26, 18, 30, and 29. Not to mention his press conference when he got hired by the Jets, wtf. Keep in mind he is also the guy who hired Offensive Line Coach Chris Foerster. Look that name up people.

Gase’s numbers just aren't great, people. Frank Gore played in Miami for one season, in 2018. In 2018, the Dolphins rushed for 1,738 yards on 371 attempts. Frank Gore had 722 of those yards on 156 attempts. So Gore rushed 42% of those attempts, also rushed for 42% of the yards, and scored 0 of their 7 rushing touchdowns. Let's not overlook the fact that Gore was also hurt for two of those games.

I guess my whole point here is how could you say that the main reason you signed with the Jets is because of your “respect” for Adam Gase. I suppose you could make the claim that 722 yards for a back at his age in 2018 is slightly impressive, but at the same time it's not. Frank Gore is a future hall of famer, and extremely overlooked when it comes to great running backs. He has 15,347, and 79 touchdowns. That ain’t nothing to sneeze at. But if you have the opportunity to sign with the New York Jets or the Las Vegas Raiders, which one would you pick? The Raiders are at least young, and put themselves in an opportunity to be successful. Adam Gase doesn't deserve that respect. Like the Colts, Gase should be sorry he wasted Frank Gore's time playing there.

That’s the frickin’ tea.
